It is rated as “Good” by care quality commission(CQC) assessment report and its “End of life care” service was marked as outstanding. South West England has two trauma centres in which one is in Southmead hospital and it covers the population of Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire, and former Avon county area. Bristol Royal Infirmary was founded in the year of 1735 and it is currently a teaching hospital with a 669 bedded facility and its parent organization is University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
